Meandering

The 'Dienst Landelijk Gebied' region East Netherlands is planning to develop a natural site near Hardenberg. Along the meandering stream 'Junne' old meanders are brought back to the landscape.

Site investigation

For the planning for this project it is necessary to have knowledge of the structure and the composition of the soil. In this project, with the use of the Medusa Sensor and ground-penetrating radar, the structure and the composition of the soil has been mapped. These results helped to locate the stream of the river and the position of the old meanders could be reconstructed.
