GAMMAN
Gamman is a toolbox that allows for the efficient automated analysis of large series of gamma spectra. Gamman extracts absolute radionuclide concentrations from gammaspectra measured with any tool in any geometry: borehole, handheld or airborne. The software contains advanced tools to improve data quality. For instance automated gain stabilization, corrections for elevation and casings.
The software contains an implementation of the full spectrum analysis (FSA) method. FSA, in contrast to the standard ‘windows’ method, utilizes virtually all spectral data present to derive nuclide concentrations which improves data quality by factor 2-5!
