GAMMAN optionally includes a set of algorithms to allow for correction of borehole data. Mostly, gammaray datasets obtained in boreholes cannot be easily compared to each other, since the boreholes themselves are different, in size, in casings used and in type of borehole fluid. The GAMMAN ENCOR module contains a large database of calibration spectra for numerous different borehole configurations usually found in practice. Using these, datasets obtained for differing boreholes, can be "calculated back" to a standard borehole with given size, casing and fluid type.
